Galleries Alfred’s Photographs About

About

Alfred's Photographs is the wildlife and nature work of Alfred “Jake” Marwede, a photographer in South Florida.

Most of these photographs were made close to home, in the wetlands and preserves where herons, anhingas and alligators are everyday neighbors. Others come from trips farther away: elk and bison in Wyoming and Montana, and puffins on the sea cliffs of Iceland.

Every animal on this site was identified by Alfred himself. Places are named only as a state or a country, so that nests and quiet spots stay undisturbed.

Prints are coming soon. Until then, you can follow new work on Instagram.
